Being an aphantasiac, art doesn't quite connect with me the way that it does with others.

This video taught me that visual Art, much like written, can be highly contextual, and while many pieces last forever,it's entirely possible for us to stare right at something speaking to us deeply that fails to reach us on other levels because the contexts have been lost to time. Granted, in this example, Monet's contemporaries really should have seen what he was saying, but people can be willfully resistant to subtlety.

I thought that this was beautiful, and now even more so with the context.
